Custom Golf Stop had been operating their ecommerce store on a legacy platform for over a decade when they received noticed that the platform was going to be shut down and would not longer be supported. The owner had a deadline to migrate his whole site, inventory of 400+ golf clubs over to a new platform while keeping their SEO rankings intact.

The Approach
Collaborating with the husband and wife owners we were able to rebuild their store on a new platform ahead of the deadline. The platform needed to allow easy inventory management for the owner.
Not wanting to lose their search engine rankings earned over many years we made protecting their current rankings a priority. In order to preserve their SEO rankings in Google we reused and improved upon the content for each catalog item, being careful to map each page URL from the old website to a new URL using permanent 301 redirects. We also preserved and enhanced the SEO for each product category.
We also took this opportunity to update the look and branding for the store.
