The Early Years

Some background on this website and it's purpose.

One of the main reasons I started this site was to have a reference point for my observations and the things that matter to me. For that reason, I have done my job well if my personal and professional outlooks are indistinguishable to the audience.

Mostly, I talk about conducting business in the 21st century business climate. I also regularly update this site with things that are of interest to me and relevant to most so, if you and I are anything alike, you should find something here to catch your fancy or launch your own personal flights thereof.

Since I set out to become a marketer I have learned that most people choose the cubicle they're in. And even if they don't objectively believe they do, they surely had some choice in the matter.

Everyone desires improvement. Everyone wants to conduct trade, safely and securely. And most people start out wanting to continue their relationships. The roads we take to pursue our bliss are usually paved with good intentions. The difference between consumer and provider, worker and employer, is largely a matter of taste.

The internet has contributed magnificently to the blurring of the boundaries and the lines of demarcation that people like to draw around others. This is but one eventuality of a hyper-connected world that pays no homage to outmoded norms of hierarchy and class.

I would like to think that this site is one place where many of our sacred institutions can go under microscope, naked before science, as well as the one place where I can do or say whatever I want.

In that sense, this little corner of the world wide web is my not-so-secret private laboratory, where I work to uncover the organizing principals of things in endless, tireless pursuit of originality. Both professionally, and in my personal life, I encourage all people to create an outlet to do the same.

The whole universe can fit on the dissection table of your mind, arranged into its component parts but only the good stuff need be shared. In that sense I will try not to bore you with too many personal details. Just keep in mind I'm an artist and all the conceits thereof are still very much on the table.

And a bit of forewarning to you who are politically sensitive. I also presume to speak often about our collective blueprints for building a better future, an exercise which, more often than not, can ruffle a few feathers.

In spite, or maybe as a result of, my political irreverence, my mission is to become one of your favorite private points-of-entry into the world-wide phenomenon known as the web. Please, inform me of your satisfaction with the site or send me hate-mail, at your discretion.

Alternatively, if you can think of anyone who you believe could personally benefit from the material on my website, use the easy print and email article tools to let them know about it. That's what they're there for.

Remember that knowledge for it's own sake is merely an exercise in intellectual entertainment. The apotheosis of knowledge is what we do with it. Participate in the advancement of all humankind by sharing and applying what you learn.

Some general information about me arranged into bit-sized snippets.

Everything I’m good at comes down to the principals of good design and I like to make acquaintance with other people who posses a monk-like devotion to whatever it is they do. Creative people are my tribe.

Introduction

One of the main reasons I started this site was to have a point of reference for things that matter to me. For that reason, I have done my job well if my personal and professional outlooks are indistinguishable to the audience.

Background

Since I was 12 I've freelanced as a hired gun for companies needing help with their online marketing. I’ve done web design, graphic design, ux, search engine optimization, pay-per-click management, media buying, business development and project management. I’ve helped  build a few companies, watched a few die away, and now I'm striking out to start one of my own. To this day I consult for a select group of clients, with performance-based equity deals as my focus for the time being.

Projects

I have the extraordinary honor to be included in some amazing projects. At some point I will update this section with an exhaustive list but for now, here's a general description to satisfy your curiosity: Vintage wines, web conferencing, apparel, recruiting, coaching and marketing.

Philosophy

I do not believe in doing business for the sake of doing business. I believe business can, and should, be harnessed as a tremendous engine of value, which creates more value for society than it takes. I design, develop and collect business performance frameworks that support the twin ideals of commercialism and sustainability in the marketplace.

Who Should Get In Touch

Products with intrinsic value beyond what it costs to create them will get the most out of a relationship with me. I enjoy working with novel, small and flattish organizations. It is within this structure that we can increase the velocity of cash flow, direct more of it into the hands of a few high-value contributors.
